Reminds me of the England of old. Carsley has fallen into that trap where you have loads of talent on the pitch, but no cohesion. Trying to please all the players.
Today's Football
Hopefully I don't get cancelled but I started enjoying the MLS.
In fact, it's probably the best league in the world, in a sense, the growth is insane. You've got packed stadiums with passionate fans that don't have to dread relegation, end to end stuff on the pitch with teams scoring for fun, nobody knows how to defend because they've got pensioners like Messi and Suarez on their team who don't track back anymore, and also because teams are managed by Phil Nevilles and Ted Lassos.
Couldn't resist staying up all night to the other night to trade it, was hard to lose any bets and it was a fun watch on top.

I stopped trading it when they moved the bet delay from 5 to 12 seconds (not checked for a long while as plenty of other markets on 5 seconds), its a particular bug bear of mine and don't have the patience for it but always found goals plentiful un the US.Kai wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 4:55 pmHopefully I don't get cancelled but I started enjoying the MLS.

The mindset is really good too. Attractive, positive play, and much less stop-start and time wasting than the rest of Americas.Kai wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 4:55 pmHopefully I don't get cancelled but I started enjoying the MLS.

I've always found MLS exciting to watch - fast and furious, and tradable too.Kai wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 4:55 pmHopefully I don't get cancelled but I started enjoying the MLS.

That was a pretty staggering remark if it's not already been agreed. Ben Futcher is interim for U21's having been promoted from under 20's.
Perhaps everyone down the chain is hoping that Carsley is made permanent.
I think all England fans will want a centre forward and attacking play against Finland. Experiments are ony useful if you learn from them.
My take on it is, regardless of the attacking players, we went side to side, into midfield and back in the usual tedious England fashion. Also, 3 and 4 touches per player, opponents love that, time to shut down options.
When England realised defeat was imminent they were aggressive (not physically but strategically) ,1 and 2 touching with great competence.
Carsley messed up, but the info from that game is immense.
Also, lets not ignore how organised and ruthless Greece were. They have some form in that respect.

Greece breezed through our midfield as if it wasn't there. Primarily because it wasn't.
