And the aggression between Hezbollah and Israel is far from new, but it is now amplified and guess who suffers? Non-combatants. Even if they are hiding behind children, that does not give Israel the right to murder children.

Personally, I hope and prey Turkey gets involved.

yeah - i get that there was a need to retaliate over the october 7th attacks but feel that the actions in the days/weeks/year following that allude more to a campaign of hate than anything else.

there is quite a lot of speculation still regarding the 7-8 hours that it took for isreal to respond to the 7th october attacks. there is also evidence emerging regards granting of the licence for the location of the SuperNova festival itself. it's location was literally as far flung from the main centre of isreal as you can get and less than 2 miles from the border with Gaza.

i'm not going to speculate, but it all just doesn't add up (archery, would welcome some good old home grown conspiracy theory on this one ).

I'm dim. Israel's actions now make no sense to me. As Firlandsfarm said early on this Israeli aggression is a recruitment vehicle for Hamas and Hezbollah.
But perhaps Israeli's live under the threat on a daily basis. It seems like Netanyhu (pushed by the right wing) has snapped and decided to attack rather than defend.

That won't work. Only diplomacy will solve this. Chances? In my lifetime? Zero. So much hate and negative agenda involved.

While I am no fan of Labour, I am sure Sir Keir would gladly stop all arms sales to Israel based on morales and ethics alone. But the problem is those sales raise money for the UK treasury and help employ hundreds of thousands directly and via supply chains.

I am not knocking the UK as Canada does it too but indirectly, we are all helping the murder of children. And when its put like that then it makes me feel sick watching the news.

I too find it rather strange that they can put pagers holding explosives in the hands of its number 1 enemy without them knowing but couldn't prevent October 7. I think the morality of weapon production does align with with the debate I've had with Archery before about gun control in the US. Basically it's not the weapon but the user you need to worry about. We've been flogging weapons for as long as they've been around, and we are very good at it. What customers chooose to do with them is nowt to do with us, although I believe we do have limits about who we sell to.
