I just filter out Menangle. It is a trot only park anyway.

Today was Caulfield Cup day and also The Everest in Sydney... It felt really poor.
I guess the fact this thread didn't even get bumped may have told the story.. Interested if anyone has any comparisons to previous years?

Anecdotal I know but a lot of my mates who are recreational punters through the TAB and corps etc are "off the punt"
Property prices and rents here have been increasing stupidly for 10 years now. The sugar hit from covid is clearly over and it feels like the tax increases on wagering have really bitten..
Hope I am wrong

I was going to post about the racing but my strategies at the moment are going backwards with the high commission on Aussie racing, so I put them on practice mode and watched the A League and watched Auckland FC 1st match. Watched 6hrs of football was great.
I didn't even see who won the races until about 11pm only to see I would have made money, typical

If Saturday was the epitome of grand Oz racing, then I need to seriously re-think my trading approach. Many races were close to "flatline," dead events with little opportunity. I traded 25 markets and made $2.01 in the end
Many trade like terrified rabbits 25 minutes out and seem to have a pathological fear of getting matched.

It's very rare to get any liquidity more than 5 mins out except for the very biggest racesJon383 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 2:39 amIf Saturday was the epitome of grand Oz racing, then I need to seriously re-think my trading approach.
