Is there a view on the optimum time to enter a market with a view to trading. At present I am having a look to see the general picture at 20 minutes and coming back in at 10 minutes up to 1 minute to off. Whats the experianced traders view?

Depends on your style and what suits you really. Some people say they only trade 10-5 mins and dont trade after that as its too fast for them, others say they only trade after the 5 minute mark. Best thing to do is experiment and just find when you feel more comfortable. Don't forget that delays and clashes will affect when volume really starts picking up anyway, so its hard for anyone to give an exact optimum time for themselves, let alone another person

Thanks for the perspective. I have only had Bet Angel Pro for a week and am spending time watching markets develop and move via the ladder. It is a real eye opener. Its certainly very easy to green up for small returns but I can see that scaling up requires practice, experiance/time.

As mentioned by hgodden some people use different time periods in which to trade. When you gain more experience you can trade during any period where you see a trend. It seems like you're doing the right thing monitoring the markets and noting how they move.

As mentioned, delays etc will alter money flow. Because the market is driven by money, you must be careful with your entry time and try to avoid being caught by an influx of money. For example, you are trading a market 10 minutes out and the preceding 3 mile chase finishes. There will be a sudden flow of money into the market and it's shape can change drastically. This could catch you out so always try to get in and out before that money comes.

That is why the first race of the day can be tricky. The money just dribbles in all morning and you cannot be certain when it will increase.
