Set up an automation 'lay the draw' rule as per Peters video on course but it triggered early to give me profit of £0.14 without a goal being scored. What have I set up wrong in the automation rule.
Automation
As Betfair do not provide a live score feed via the API a rule like this needs to rely on other indicators, namely the draw odds drifting and moving into profit (which would happen only after a goal in the majority of cases), however sometimes the price may still drift a bit even without this in less liquid (gappy) markets.
However that is now quite an old video and since it was made there's been many updates to the automation options meaning there are much better ways of doing this without relying on a live score feed
In the Football section of the shared files area on this forum there are several variations of the 'Lay the Draw' strategy you can download and import into your Bet Angel,
The best one at the moment is probably this one, which uses a relatively new option of being able to reference other markets as a condition, ie, it lays the draw in the match odds market but also checks the CS market for the 0-0 odds, once a goal is scored and the 0-0 price flys right out (as its no longer a possible outcome), it then triggers the green up bet in the match odds market
