Automation kicked in "Inplay" when the rules are set to stop 2 minutes before the start

Hi There,

I've lost £50 this morning with some automation rules kicking in that I cannot figure out why they have.

My place back bet rule is set for leading upto start time and set from 30 mins out to 2 mins out.

Looking in the log it successful ran part of my rules at 30 mins out, then sometime into play it kicked in by backing a few scores at 1.28

I just cant see why it would do it with my 30 mins to 2 mins rule? I have nothing set inplay at all.

I probably need to be avoiding games with such poor volume also which is fine, but regardless it should not have kicked in.

Does anyone have any issues why? I've attached an image of the back bets rule.

It may be something to do with the conditions attached to the rule. But an easy way to error-trap that is to add another condition that the bet is only placed if the market is NOT in play.

I tend to do that on anything I have pre-off, just in case Betfair accidentally turns the market in play.

The clocks went back yesterday, perhaps something to do with that.

Hi Both, thank you for the replies, I’ll add that rule now as a fail safe.

I wonder if it was due to the clocks, that’s interesting.
