What’s the excuse? Labour contested against using the Wesersfield site for asylum seekers when in Opposition but now they are in Government they are not only planning to use it but to do so with increased numbers! It’s soooooo typical of this untrustworthy bunch of liars!

Reform UK are reporting their paid membership sign ups have just passed 100,000.
If true and it continues then they will have more signed up members than the Tories in the next 6 months.
Could be an interesting election in 2029.

I was reading they have taken the Lib Dem model of local branches building from the ground up and they are opening them up and down the country, they appear to be organising, immobilising and recruitng at pace and with purpose. They have a Party Conference in the South West (Exeter) next weekend also, I'll imagine that'll be now be popular with farmers.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 9:46 pmReform UK are reporting their paid membership sign ups have just passed 100,000.

You referring to Farmers dumping waste in rivers around their farms ?ForFolksSake wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 5:47 pmFarmers threaten 'sewage sludge strike' after Rachel Reeves axes death duty exemption![]()
If yes, then some have mentioned this before as some farms with tight budgets and/or on the brink can’t afford to pay to have it removed safely.

Nah, In a mutually beneficial exchange, farmers filter 3.6 million tonnes of sewage sludge out of water treatment plants each year, spreading it across their land.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 5:50 pmYou referring to Farmers dumping waste in rivers around their farms ?ForFolksSake wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 5:47 pmFarmers threaten 'sewage sludge strike' after Rachel Reeves axes death duty exemption![]()

Farmers across online forums have discussed the possibility of a sewage strike, which would cause water companies to have to find other more costly ways of disposing of the waste,
Feargal Sharkey must be a bit worried ?

Britain's farmers are considering a strike to disrupt the food supply chain and cause Covid-style shortages over Labour's bombshell changes to farm inheritance rules.

It all depends on what Trump does with Farage. Rumours are he is going to appoint him special liason person between himself and Starmer. If not then I suspect the odds for Reform UK will shrink. I think the tories are toast for another 2 terms.
