I am trying to add an Alert to my watch list
I want to Alert when the Favourite is a certain Trap number
Eg Trap1 is FAV then I want the Alert to trigger.
In generals tab added rule type Alert (applies to selection in position 1 sorted order of favouritism)
Then Parameters watch list (show alert flash for 30 seconds)
Conditions Tab Condition (Type Stall draw of the selection is equal to 1)
But i can't get into to work
Any suggestions? on how to fix it

Apply an automation alert rule to the selection in Betfair row index 'X' ('X' being whatever trap number you want it to trigger on) and add 'Relative Odds condition'
Selections back price
is less than
back price
of selection 'By Position (sorted in order of favouritism) 2'

You'll need to either edit that Alert column or remove it altogether (via the List tab) if you are only wanting it to be displayed in your Watch List

Well i started to use the Alert tonight and found it does not work correctly.
The alert pops up on the watch list but it the wrong Trap number ..
I cannot understand your last instruction
On the Stored Value of that rule store a value as text (and enter a name of your choice)
Then set that Stored Value in your Alert column

You've applied that rule to the selection in row 1 (which will always be trap 1)
Therefore it can only trigger if that selection, and will only be able to do so if it's the fav

Ignore the last part of my initial (which I've now removed), it was in case you were setting it as a stored value to display in your watch list rather than using the Parameters tab to push it directly

Dallas Sorry for asking again but i have tried this rule and it does not select the trap number if its fav?..
I have set in general tab "in row 1 (betfair order)" I have selected trap 1
Then in Conditions tab
relative odds condition
back price
less than
back price
of in position 1(sorted in order of favourtism)
I have just tried running it again in tonights races but its just selecting random traps numbers
What am I doing wrong?

If the odds of a selection are less than the 2nd favourite then the selection has to be the favourite.

Thank you, James Edwards. I have looked at your test. But your test file does not have a parameters tab to add an alert to guardian or a watch list. How do I add that?.I just can't work it out
Thanks

The condition should be configured to test
of selection 'By Position (sorted in order of favouritism) 2'

NOT position 1

This file uses the Trap number instead of rows. This is because trap 1 could have been withdrawn, so trap 2 could be in row 1.

Thanks for all your help.Without your assistance I would have just had to manually look at all the races ..very time consuming.
The problem I seemed to have was What Dabbla said .If the trap number I selected was withdrawn it was giving incorrect info.I have tried to understand Dabbla's What Trap.baf and I would have never been able to work out how to do it..

Thanks I can finally get some sleep :)

In the rule (Alert (true)) change the first condition (TRAP) to the number you want.
