After nearly 10k posts in 7 years, ShaunWhite abruptly disappeared a year ago today.

He was a very active asset to the forum, always sharing help and advice.

Does anyone know if he is ok?

I think he got 'p*ssed off' with some of the in-fighting ( not mentioning any names ) on the forum at the time

He also mentioned about going to live in Medelin 🔐 🇨🇴

Though often-times feisty, he was eloquent and made considered comments that he could provide reasoning for (unlike some).

I quite miss Shaun's insights and debating ability. Hope he's well wherever he is.

When I met Shaun at an event, he expressed concern that he was spending too much time on various forums. So I know he wanted to wean himself off.

It is a shame though, as he was a valued contributor. But over the years there has always been an ebb and flow of contributors. Such is the nature of forums.

I maybe one of the idiots of the forum but I'd be so happy to see Shaun back again.
I guess we all have our favourite contributors and Shaun was definitely someone that I made a beeline for if he posted to see what he had to say.
But I also understand the wish to wean yourself away from forums.
This one is stil worth being part of. You cannot imagine how many others I've dabbled with and ditched.

I have come across Shaun White, since he was last on here, in another forum in Slack, which is far more technical, as he was always a C# man with an interest in Python.

Like I said he got sick of the 'in-fighting' talk on this forum 🤼‍♂️
Probably thought his time could be better spent elsewhere

Alive and kicking on another forum as mentioned above. Posted within last couple of weeks if I remember correctly. Get the impression he's enjoying the fruits of his labours more these days.

Glad to hear Shaun is ok.

He was technically and knowledgeable way beyond my level but helped me with some massive clues over the years which helped me to get where I am now.

He is absolutely brilliant, a sore loss to this forum.

I am glad to here he is doing well , he did help me privately, just told me what to look for around resistance areas and how to properly study historical data and the dangers of back fitting. I did PM in the new year to no avail.

I made sure I always read what Shaun wrote, you had to read between the lines for sure.
