Can't really tell about funding, but I really like the way how the withdrawals are dealt with. Schedules are also made perfectly, rarely there are two races starting closely, and even the greyhound racing doesn't clash with the horse racing during long periods. A matter of organization I would say?

I've been fortunate enough to have attended Cox Plate day for the last two years and It's a great day out.

Without doubt the highlight has been having Black Caviar race on both days.

Moonee Valley is a course like no other and provides great theatre.

It's the only day of the year I let my hair down and have an old fashioned punt. It also serves as a reminder as to why I don't generally bet.
