Football is back thank goodness, not sure how much will survive with the weather but not seeing any games called off at the mo across the football league.
I suppose with the Premier League it's more about the accessibility and safety around the stadium than the pitches which will be playable.

Scotland is taking a battering. If SPL games continue EPL has no excuse other than encouraging people to travel. But if you don't feel safe to tavel without clearance from govt or your brain in gear you probably shouldn't travel.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 8:51 amFootball is back thank goodness, not sure how much will survive with the weather but not seeing any games called off at the mo across the football league.

Man City started well but looking flustered after Spur's smash and grab it's like they don't know what to do anymore problem is Spurs don't know how to defend a lead, fantastic game and an interesting 2nd half to come.

It's just confidence, one team has built on it as the games gone on the other hasn't any at all. Man City's body language could tell you that, Kyle Walker made a foul in 1st half and there was absolutely no need to do it was done out of pure frustration.
They'll turn it around there to good not to but if I'm Liverpool next week I'd be sticking it right on them from kick-off.
Not often you see Man C in the "Ok we;ve lost the last 3 quarters, let's win the last quarter". That was always my mentality.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 6:55 pmIt's just confidence, one team has built on it as the games gone on the other hasn't any at all. They have a few injuries and Rodri is a blow but still have an array of talent but for me it's just confidence, they've never really been in this position of loosing 4 on the bounce and soon to be 5.greenmark wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 7:00 pmNot often you see Man C in the "Ok we;ve lost the last 3 quarters, let's win the last quarter". They'll sort it out but if I'm an opposing manager of a good side I'll be looking to exploit it, obviously doesn't apply to the likes of Ipswich or Southampton they'll spank a lower end team sooner or later.
Yeah you can see that even during this game they were baffled, angry and now are really on it. But this ne is gone 'cos Spurs are the opposite. Coming off a bad run and relishing finding a way of playing that's beating one of the best teams.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 7:05 pmThey have a few injuries and Rodri is a blow but still have an array of talent but for me it's just confidence, they've never really been in this position of loosing 4 on the bounce and soon to be 5.greenmark wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 7:00 pmNot often you see Man C in the "Ok we;ve lost the last 3 quarters, let's win the last quarter". Table 2-8 4 points and that pack have teams on their heals too.
But if Liverpool beat Saints tomorrow the pressure on LFC wil be immense. It's easier to chase than stay out in front. And it's not Xmas yet, one 3rd by the end of tomorrow. I'd be staggered if Pep doesn't sort things. I guess the intrigue is whether Amorim can fashion a proper team from what he's inherited.
United have been crap since Fergie retired. The odd trophy, but that's not good enough for United. I can't wait to see United's next few games. No disrespect to Ipswich but they'd be happy with a draw. I don't think they'll get that.
