Russia launches ICBM into Ukraine. :o
I'm not up with types of weapons so could you help me please Archery ... an ICBM is as the name suggests for Inter Continental operation so why would they use one from Russia to Ukraine? They are neighbours! Is it just to 'send a message'?

Intercontinental ballistic missile, they have a range of upto 9,400 miles. They are primarily designed for nuclear weapons delivery payloads. But you can switch out and use very high explosive conventional or chemcial payloads.

Obviously, they didn't load it with a Nuke payload. Kind of stupid really has they cost $160 Billion per unit.

Yeah, just sending a very expensive message to Ukraine, NATO and the West.

They very hard to intercept. Some experts say you can but most say you cannot.

US officials are disputing the claim, that Russia used a ICBM.

Well we are.

We got this idiot Two Tier Starmer who tells Ukraine 'it's OK lob UK missiles in to Russia. Whilst cutting the defence budget.

WW2 showed you should not concede 1 inch, regardless of the consequences.

You only need to worry if your within 30 miles of an airbase, army base or naval base.

I’m roughly 100 miles from any of them.

Not everyone will die if there is WW3, just allot.

The key will be location, knowledge, training, security, shelter, food and water. Figure all those out and you will have an 80% change of survival. But you may have todo things you once thought unthinkable.

Stay safe.

Thanks Archery, I am very close to Mildenhall. At least my family won't have to worry about my funeral cost, I will be in a vapour cloud heading towards Derek's house.

Being at Mildenhall means you will have better warning than most. Just steal a fast car and get > 30 miles away in under 6 to 8 minutes and you should be fine.

USA Minuteman silos in Wyoming, Dakota and Montana on high alert.

Rather a strange statement as I thought they always were.

That’s 450 silos with each missiles payload being 330 kilotons. So, 450 x 330 = 148,500 kilotons.

In comparison, only 15 kilotons were dropped on Hiroshima.

I wouldn’t want to be sitting in Russia if they all hit.

On top of that you have all the ones being launched from UK, France, Italy, Netherlands and the ones at sea.

Russia would be wiped off the global map and depending on which way the wind is blowing most of North Korea and China would be stuffed too.

"No other nations have weapons like ours, Vladimir Putin says".

I think he may be correct, but not in the way he implies ie superior russian tech. The Mach 10 missile now turns out to be a standard icbm repurposed for a local strike.
He's runnig a broken country and the sooner the Russians realise what a twat he is the better.

Agreed. Not sure what his end game is but I said all along he needed to be stopped, somehow.

The problem is everyone keeps saying whoever replaces him could be far worse.

Call me a warmonger but my plan would be:

- Universal attack at say 11.00pm
- 11.00 launch 20,000 standard cruise missiles
- 11.01 launch 50,000 drones
- 11.02 launch standard ICBMS
- 11.03 launch Nuclear ICBMS
- 11.04 launch everything Ukraine has
- 11.05 launch all submarine Nukes

That would probably overwhelm Russias air defences and catch them off guard.
