Tomatoes are foreigners. We had to bring them back from America and nurture them. We didn't try to put them back on a plane to whence they came.

MPs back move to proportional representation system for UK....

60 Labour MPs supported a plan put forward by Sarah Olney to reform how the voting system works....

“This is a crucial step towards fixing our broken electoral system and ensuring every vote counts.”......

Under a PR system, the distribution of seats nationwide corresponds much more closely with the proportion of votes cast for each party..........

At least in Scotland we can see the accounts where they have awarded themselves gold plated early retirement pensions!

I seem to recall it was considered OK that the EU hadn't published audited accounts for years. Funny how standards vary depending on how they affect your beliefs!

Tomatoes being only one.Whether we stole them or they were imposed on us or arrived here as the result of empire building. "Foreign" is a stupid definition. Putin see's Ukrainians as foreign. Hamas and Israel see each other as foreign (which given they are both semitic is tragic). Why do you hate people so much that you want to shove asylum seekers back to a place they tried so hard to escape?

From my personal experience, I think people are selectively racist when it suits them or their agenda.

I also think the UK has a particular problem in that area. My parents, 82 and 96 are seriously racist. But then so is my Dads brother, sister and their parents. The more of my extended family I met, the more I wished, I hope for god sake I don’t marry someone of colour as my wedding would be 3 people including the priest.

Then I thought maybe my family was just different. But having moved around allot in the UK, I came to the conclusion that racism was rife in allot of counties, towns and villages.

It’s a much bigger issue/problem than any politician is ever going to admit too publicly.

Again, from my personal experience, it tends to be those aged 45+. Probably the same demographic that voted for Brexit. But I can prove that statistically.

However, I know for a fact there are real problems along the south coast of England, especially in places like Hastings. I use to drink in a working men’s club there and if the police had been a fly on the wall then I might well of had the place raided and arresting 200+ for planning some nasty stuff against those arriving and seeking asylum.

But I guess this kind of stuff happens in all countries.

Anyway, peace as there is enough shite going on in the world already.
