Netanyahu could be in big shit.
He reported he first knew of the October 7th attack at 6.40. Doctored evidence shows he was told at 6.29. Leading to an 11 minute delay in giving a military and first aid response. The Israel police now investigating, what he knew and when. Those close to him have had there mobiles seized as police are going through phone records.
What a Yahho see you next Thursday.
Israel/Palestine conflict
I am not an American, but this would surely piss me off, we go through the same things in the UK. The vast majority of people in the west are appalled by the loss of life in the middle east. But these idiots protesting like they did in New York, ruin every normal persons life and actually rather than getting their message across (which most of us have got anyway, without them), people end up hating them.

So they tried to block the Thanksgiving parade in New York, we had the same in London with idiots like Corbyn marching on Remembrance Day, crapping on my family members who have died in wars the UK were actually involved in.
I feel sorry about the deaths and horrendous injuries being inflicted in the middle east, but I also would feel sorry for any individuals incarcerated in the west for giving some of these protestors who go way over the top a few smacks.

You echo my feelings precisely. The excessive marching and endless disruption has become a one-sided, often openly terrorist-supporting absurdity, that changes nothing other than impact the lives of ordinary folk in the West who have more pressing concerns closer to home.conduirez wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2024 11:12 pmI am not an American, but this would surely piss me off, we go through the same things in the UK. They are no longer protest marches in London they are anti-semitic hate marches, the police bill must be absolutely massive by now about time they were stopped and police can get back to investigating crime which effects the majority not the minority.Crazyskier wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 12:33 amYou echo my feelings precisely. It's not a British issue about time all marches for what is going on abroad are stopped on the streets of the UK. Marches and protests should only be allowed for UK issues only. If you want to protest about an issue/country from abroad go and protest in that particular country.
I disagree. Issues and comms are global now. You can't put that genie back in the bottle.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 8:42 amThey are no longer protest marches in London they are anti-semitic hate marches, the police bill must be absolutely massive by now about time they were stopped and police can get back to investigating crime which effects the majority not the minority.Crazyskier wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 12:33 amYou echo my feelings precisely. You can stop marches sure. They are just a physical version of what people are thinking. Yes, the hooliganism of a few months ago is unacceptable and has been handled very severly, but peaceful protest is part of democracy. We should be grateful that people can do that.

In a nutshell there's people who actually pack their bags and go where they feel their help is needed most, and then there's people who hold up a sign "SOMEONE SHOULD DO SOMETHING"
Young adults especially are very impressionable, all it takes is one loudmouth at uni to influence their underdeveloped brain (the prefrontal cortex is not fully developed until age 25 meaning decisions are based more on emotions and peer pressure rather than logic)

Indeed. As evidenced by some members of the LGTV BLT community who were marching in support of Palestine, yet seemed to fail to realise that they'd likely be thrown from a rooftop should they ever travel there. Oh the irony!Kai wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 8:57 amI've seen a big interesting study about the "daycare generation" : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUhc3Kv4ieEconduirez wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2024 11:12 pmI am not an American, but this would surely piss me off, we go through the same things in the UK. Yep, passion without perspective tends to make for some rather ironic alliances, like I'm sure I've remarked on various occasions before.Crazyskier wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 12:02 pmIndeed. But it's incredibly fascinating how the loudest voices in support of a cause often belong to those with the least understanding of its complexities. The sad thing it probably very little outside funding to amplify these voices and sow as much discontent as possible to whoever ultimately benefits from it.
If I'm clueless and/or ignorant about something, I think I'd rather just stfu and stick to the few things I'm actually familiar with.
Never knew there was a Bacon, lettuce and tomato community. Where do I join? Sorry. Forgot to say, the great thing about poking fun at different things and people is you certainly don't need to be an expert in the matter to do it. In fact, the more ignorant you are the better the effect!
