I would want to be laying a steamer over backing a drifter all day long… opinions make markets I suppose, good luck with your automationFugazi wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 5:10 pmTrue, but rookie logicGeorgeRuss wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 2:25 pmStill has to win the race which is much harder than losing a raceilovepizza82 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 9:22 am
The same you could say about the steamer. If it steams then it does it for a reason. Either its some sort of inside info or because the horse just looks so awesome![]()

I suspect order flow just got harder as people squeezed the liquidity from it as knowledge and tools improvedKai wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 6:24 pmJust my universal rule of thumb as preoff trends go, from a manual POV, some of the trading examples I posted were exactly that
But even as a footy trader I'm not blind to the daily prerace opportunities, despite the trading windows there shortening
However, I do feel that order flow trading overall is slowly becoming a lost art
Markets will always be inefficient so just means a change in strategy needed. I'm managing about £30 a day preoff with automation but struggling to scale any further. I suspect the bigger money now might be inplay where the market just cant be efficient as robots can't mechanically respond to what is being seen on the TV

Sadly money's slowly drying up, give any decent trader an actual liquid market and he should never lose
But good luck finding liquid markets in 2024, better to look at inplay instead
Only really cricket remains S tier market, you can barely know what's going on and still do better

I guess thats the real question. Is it 50/50 whether it goes up or down at that point.. OR if youve steamed x ticks, is it statistically more likely to steam another x ticks?
