Agreed.

Is this rapid resurgence of McLaren because they have Newey under their wing already?
And Red Bull seem to be imploding. No.2 that seemingly can't contirbute. No.1 having familial squabbles with the prinicipal. Looking a bit messy. for RB. But Max still nailled on to win the Drivers Championship. Maybe!

Lando went too far and appeared childish and arrogant a la Vettel with the Webber ''Multi 2-1'' from Christian that he chose to ignore.
His team were literally begging him to do the right thing and Lando's petulance has lost me as a fan of his character.
Conversly, Oscar covered himself in glory and class.

Maybe Lando felt his start was compromised by the throttle issue that had to be corrected on after the warm-up.Crazyskier wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 6:10 pmLando went too far and appeared childish and arrogant a la Vettel with the Webber ''Multi 2-1'' from Christian that he chose to ignore.

But, yeah. Still have to suck it up and be a team player. There's a bit of a ding-dong brewing between the McLaren drivers perhaps.
Do they weigh them wheels on or off. I think it used to be the case they would deliberately drive over the rubber marbles on the post finish lap to pick up as much weight as they could. But rules is rules. Odd that you'd think both Mercedes would be prepared identically in this respect. 1.5kg is quite an error in F1.

I layed Hamilton with a few laps to go at the end of the race. Had a look at the exchange rules and regulations for what happens when the winner is disqualified, looks like the market has already been settled, so stand as is. Would that be correct?

Felt really bad for George after that inspired 1-stop decision and a thrilling chase from Lewis and Oscar.
He deserved that win 100% and the team must hang their heads in shame.

Cadillac in F1? How the world changes. But I guess naming a team after a fizzy drink is a bit weird too. And way back Lotus was known as John Player Special.
Wonder if it will have aircon and heated seat.
Well done to McLaren for the constructors. Saved me from having to eat my helmet if Ferrari had won.

I thought it was an inspired drive from Charlie. 20th to 3rd, and a shame that Ferrari couldn't quite close the deal for the Constructors. Happy for Zak Brown though, he's really injected some pizazz into the team with his sponsorship and marketing know how.greenmark wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 4:23 pmCadillac in F1? How the world changes. I remember the JPS well, and two of the drivers, Mario Andretti and the Superswede Ronnie Peterson. Peterson unfortunately died in a JPS at Monza when his car burst in to flames.greenmark wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 4:23 pmCadillac in F1? How the world changes. Indeed. Remember watching Mansell flinging the JPS around Monaco and my Dad saying he'll be F1 Champion one day. It seemed implausible to me, but he was right.conduirez wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 5:39 pmI remember the JPS well, and two of the drivers, Mario Andretti and the Superswede Ronnie Peterson. New F1 movie, why pick Brad Pitt?
He's 61 ffs and looks nothing like a modern day F1 driver.
