The good old Manchester "a boot was kicked and accidentally hit him" Definitely not a punch, 100% didn't get dropped!

Blimey. Pep says "I'm not good enough".

IMO that is saying he wants out.
The 6 fingers up for Anfield singing "You're getting sacked in the morning" was a weird one I thought. They're past glories man, your job is based on current and very recent performances, which are abysmal. That's like Forest fans singing about their glory of 1979-1990 years. Which wasn't too far away from me getting St Mary's FC Under-12 player of the year in 1993.

Forget what I said, yaaaaaay to past glories!!!
All is forgiven Pep, stay on your personal Titanic buddy!

Whatever about City missing Rodri for a while, you don't go on such a shit run just because 1 player is missing, unless he's Roy Of The Rovers.
It may yet turn out to be another touch of Pep genius to deflect criticism from the team, but it doesn't feel like that to me. IMO he's already left and the team are running around like headless chickens. No pleasure if this turns out to be true, brilliant football is something I enjoy (except for against LFC). MCFC right now isn't brilliant at all.

If city can't raise themselves against their most bitter rivals it's clear they are finished and so is Pep. And I think it's Pep's motivation that has changed. He doesn't care any more.
Pay someone too much and contract to a massive payout if he fails and what do you expect ... he is financially richer failing that succeeding!

Headless chickens sounds right, they don't look to have anyone with the drive or commitment of a Yaya/Viera/Gerrard/Keano. I don't think I saw 1 player show any kind of leadership/shouting at his team/bigging up his boys on either side of the derby.
If you missed a tackle or gave the ball away stupidly with those mentioned lads on the pitch, you were getting a complete bollocking. You knew you fucked up, the tv viewers knew you fucked up, even your half deaf granny knew you fucked up! So you got your shit together.
22 players and not a leader between them.

I think the "oscar" reference is to do with how Walker went down in agony! One good use of VAR would be to look at such shenanigans and ask the referee to consider booking the 'actor' or maybe even send them off for cheating ... it will soon stop.

Oscar for best actor. I like it, if he called him a diving c*nt he'd be up for a big fine and miss a few games. It's subtle and obvious at the same time.

It's close to being beyond a joke now, I think it'll take an OUCH.....wait what?? of Rivaldo v Turkey in 2002 World Cup scale to happen in the Premier League before the refs and VAR will actually take it seriously.
At least they're attempting to take steps where a player waving an imaginary card at the ref for a foul usually gets a card himself. Inch by inch and step by step.

Being richer failing seems a given in football management in the short term. But it is true for Pep. He doesn't need to work anymore.
Big payoff looms. A rest then manage Spain? I suspect he's pretty cheesed off with his bosses. He was prepared to accept their dodgy background while they funded his ambitions, but this implosion may suggest he knows City are going to be sanctioned.

Just seen the last presser and really sounded like he just wants out.

Sanctioned or not, you have to credit City for giving it 130% effort all those years.

Unfortunately, other clubs could only ever muster 100% effort, as that's the usual hardcap.

Besides Everton obviously, who dared to put in 102% last season!

I am expecting a couple of things to happen during the January transfer window and a couple of big names to go. Ederson, Walker and Grealish look the favourites, but there are others. We need to find out who the main troublemakers in the dressing room are.

City are lucky this drop in form has occurred during a season where there is likely to be a drop in points, but not likely to demote them, because of the abysmal results of teams at the bottom of the table.

Don't want to keep bashing on City but it's very reminiscent of Liverpool's recent collapse, aging key players and lack of genuine motivation. Klopp did the most he could by rebuilding most of the squad and by chanting the next manager's name before leaving to set the tone and everything, so let's see how Pep deals with it.

If you look at the Chelsea squad it's exactly the opposite, endless potential and so young and so hungry. The only missing piece was a competent coach that can sort out the bloated squad.

But STILL, the biggest job is Amorim at United, an incredible amount of work to do there. Because unlike the Lannisters, a Glazer never pays his debts.

Amorim has the best job in the world right now. Can't do any worse.... and even if somehow he did, wouldn't be blamed.

Makes you feel for Moyes. Never had a chance of succeeding

What is this nonsense now, UEFA claiming the moral high ground is a little rich either way football needs reform starting with FIFA. I'm a fan of less football and more quality but the money men at FIFA, A22 and UEFA think we need more either way it's a recipe for disaster as there is talk of player strikes.

Sadly it was never going to go away so easily. I've honestly enjoyed the new CL format as a fan, a neutral, and a trader alike.

The Spanish are complete sellouts, think it'll be down to English clubs/fans to put their foot down.
