Good to see you again. Hope you have a good Christmas.ShaunWhite wrote: โWed Dec 18, 2024 1:09 amHello all, hope you're all well. I've just been trying to get my work/life balance in a better shape, and the forum was impacting on both without enough upside. As I don't do moderation well I decided to give it a miss for a while to break the habit. All quite dull really.
tbh GPT hasn't helped, i just chat shit with it now instead, and then it gives me more work things to do than I have time for.![]()
It's not getting much better is it ....
Where has the Forum member ..... gone??
shaun - gid to see you back, tho of course, rmbr why you ducked out.. balance, balance!!
how are the modifications going, last we spoke, you were kitting out your bathroom with a 5 star des res feel... can't rmbr if i shared with you, but we've downsized and moved out of the woods and into civilisation. just about getting over my crocodile dundee approach to greeting all and sundry with a cheery 'prolly se ya around'. but, it's great and we've started a monthly popup pub (as we bought what had been the village pub - our small recompense!) doing music, food and other such joys...
catch up proper away from the glare... take care.

Here's hoping he doesn't notice all the politics threads!

Speaking of politics, Derek's been missing for an awfully long time as well. Was wondering if it's too soon to open a Derek27 thread as well

Hopefully its just a case of having turned the electricity off in attempt to get another free McDonalds..
Hopefully you're right, I forgot about that. Although I do remember him locking himself out of his account once beforesionascaig wrote: โWed Dec 18, 2024 6:52 pmHopefully its just a case of having turned the electricity off in attempt to get another free McDonalds..

If I'd had to put money on someone going missing it would have been him, single, ate badly, smoked, drank too much and was always stressed. Not a great recipe.
Not sure about stressed but I've been nagging him to adopt slightly healthier habits. Especially since he's been quite ill actually, and still undergoing chemo I think.ShaunWhite wrote: โWed Dec 18, 2024 9:20 pmIf I'd had to put money on someone going missing it would have been him, single, ate badly, smoked, drank too much and was always stressed. But hopefully (and probably) just spending some time with the family during the holiday season.
Good to hear from you btw
Thanks for your concern guys. Just recovering from a short radiotherapy course - it's really wiped me out, like being comatose.
Chemo makes you feel exhausted, but radiotherapy leaves you exhausted without the feeling. You can be happily lying on the couch watching TV, it's only when you need to get up that you realise you're paralysed and stuck to the couch.

hi mate.ย did you make it to the sun yet?
I'm mostly done with this place and maybe Derek27 is too but I wish him well wherever he is as I notice he also has been inactive.Derek27 wrote: โThu Dec 19, 2024 9:53 pmThanks for your concern guys. Just recovering from a short radiotherapy course - it's really wiped me out, like being comatose.

Yes it's unusual for Derek to be MIA for so long.
