Dear Community
In horse races I sometimes back the 2nd, 3rd, 4th in order of favouritism against the field. In dog races I may sometimes back the 2nd, 3rd in order of favouritism against the field. I use automation to do this.
Is there a way to apply the selections backed by the automation to the forecast market?
For example if the automation had selected T2 and T5 as 2nd, 3rd fav I would like to have an automated forecast 2 - 5 and 5 -2.
Is there a way to link the win and forecast markets to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

Would have thought you would be wanting to save this SV at Event Level, not Bet Angel level. Otherwise the SV will be found for every race, whereas if stored at Event Level only relevant markets from the same race will find it.
Thanks for your input. What you're suggesting would seem to be a vital pointjamesedwards wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 3:04 pmWould have thought you would be wanting to save this SV at Event Level, not Bet Angel level. I'm still a little lost on this. Going to look at other posts to get a clearer idea of how stored values work in relation to seperate markets on the same event.

I've never traded on greyhound forecast markets but I would be amazed if the forecast markets were unable to see the SVs from the win market using Event Level.
Try it then and you will be amazed.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 5:32 pmI've never traded on greyhound forecast markets but I would be amazed if the forecast markets were unable to see the SVs from the win market using Event Level.

Thought I'd take a look into this for my own personal interest, but I've chosen the 12 hours a year when there are no Greyhound markets loaded.tootall wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 5:38 pmTry it then and you will be amazed.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 5:32 pmI've never traded on greyhound forecast markets but I would be amazed if the forecast markets were unable to see the SVs from the win market using Event Level.

Bet Angel guys, how come event level SVs don't work on greyhound forecast markets? They work fine across Win and Place markets but not for Forecast.

Has the Forecast market been give the same EventId by Betfair? Probably not.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2024 11:05 pmBet Angel guys, how come event level SVs don't work on greyhound forecast markets? They work fine across Win and Place markets but not for Forecast.
What I can't quite figure out is how to apply the stored values. If I'm trying to do what I suggested in my op the automation will need to place a back bet on the selections 2nd and 3rd in order of favouritism. It will then need to store a value for these selections that can appear in the forecast market so that automation there will pick up the selections and place 2 forecast bets. I'm not sure the odds are as good in the reverse forecast market. But what value would I need to store in the first instance?

I think tootall's idea was to store a couple of values made up of the first letter of the 2nd and 3rd fav names with a " - " in the middle. So you end up with "X - X" so eg "1 - 2" and "2 - 1". You can then use these SVs to trigger a bet on selections with those names within the forecast market.ANGELS15 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2024 5:43 pmWhat I can't quite figure out is how to apply the stored values. But you'd have to do something clever to get around the whole bet angel level thing. Perhaps you could make it so the off times of the two markets match or something, then as long as there are no two greyhound races with the same offtime loaded that might work?
