A comma instead of a decimal point cost me £91.40

Hi there,

I was entering a stake value in the parameters section of a Dutch rule and I inputted 4,14 instead of 4.14.

This then took the bet as £414 and it lost, costing me £91.40 :-( (if it had won it would have been a happy accident of +£322.58)

Could there be some sort of validation on the stake field that either informs the user that a comma has been used instead of a decimal or treat commas as potential invalid characters?

Wouldn't worry. You'll only make this mistake once

+1 I think the issue should be fixed. I made the mistake loads of times, but I always look at the would-be P/L before clicking on the ladder. :)

Actually, some countries do use a comma rather than a decimal point, so I'm sure this isn't the first time it's happened, particularly with non-British BA users.

Measure twice and cut once. Might be a 1000 instead of 100 next time, or if it's auto then one incorrect but perfectly valid character can empty your account like the magazine on an AK47.

The practical solution is to only leave what you need in your main wallet and the rest in the games or poker wallet. If it goes nuts it doesn't wipe you out. It takes seconds. With a tenner in your main wallet you'd have lost nothing. But there's no need to do that if you're someone who's never made a mistake and never will.

Yes, and to not be able to use your numpad to put the intended stake in...I mean you shouldn't have to think twice about it.

Seems like BF solved it by auto correct a comma to a decimal in the staking box, a solution BA should implement too.
