19:55 @ Newcastle
£100 placed at 1.05, matched at 1.05.
Not only was there plenty of money showing available at much higher prices available throughout, but the £207 @ 1.75 remained untouched!!!

I don't think it is a BA problem because BA reflects the prices shown on BD site (be aware that BD has a slower refresh rate).Lynskey888 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 12:55 amThis may not be relevant, and I know this thread is about Betdaq, but I’ll post anyway, run the risk of ridicule, and let more experienced users decide:
I was trading a cricket market on Betfair last night. I was moving back and forth between the one-click screen and the ladder to look at the total matched volumes. The prices showing on the one-click screen were completely different to what was available on the ladder. There was a difference of seven or eight ticks. I’ve never noticed this before and couldn’t get my head around it.
Could what you’re experiencing, James, be a result of similar but more extreme discrepancies between the one-click and the ladder?![]()
I have to say, it does seem unlikely. I've been using BA for years and never once noticed anything similar. Are you absolutely certain that you were looking at the same selection?Lynskey888 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 4:56 pmAh, well, it was just a thought. I hope you get to the bottom of the problem, James. It’s a completely unsatisfactory situation. I’ve read your posts on matching issues in this thread and I expect I’m not the only person who’s avoiding Betdaq as a result.
As an aside, after I posted last night I started to doubt myself. “Did I imagine the difference in odds?” But no, the one-click definitely was showing prices which did not correspond to the ladder. I was so freaked out I took my money out of the market and started playing with settings. I’ll try to record images if I see it again.
Good luck with Betdaq.
As you say, an absolute shocker! I really fail to see how Betdaq cannot at least VERIFY the problem. Does Betdaq utilise cross matching on their markets? Have you come across any examples of the same when laying a selection?jamesedwards wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 8:19 pmThis one was a shocker!![]()

Yeah, definitely. The last matched prices on the one-click screen were also different from what I would have expected based on the activity I could see on the ladder.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 7:53 pm

Just a thought but have you considered placing two bets at different prices instead of the 1 to see what happens.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 8:19 pmThis one was a shocker!![]()

You backed a selection asking for 15 and you were matched at 12???? Does Betdaq have some clunky thing like "Match Me" (or whatever it is called) whereby you give consent to get matched at a poorer price than you ask for?? If not that is absolutely shocking.ANGELS15 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 10:35 amI posted previously on this thread (p6). I had a similar experience again recently. I occasionally have a very small back bet on the selection I'm trading on Betfair. I occasionally place the back bet on Betdaq.
On this occasion my selection was about 16s. As I placed my bet (£4) at 15 hoping to get matched quickly (there's always the risk due to poor liquidity that your bet won't get matched otherwise), suddenly the price collapsed down to 11s. I was matched at 12s but within a second or so the price bounced back up to 15. This is by no means the first time this has happened.
It's possible I suppose that someone placed a big bet at the exact same time as me but you have to wonder.
Would be interesting to write a bot to scan for empty price slots when the ladder is very thin like that and fire in multiple bets for small amounts on a selection of empty and occupied prices and see how their BPE holds up there. Looking at the original video, if you throw in 2 bets at 1.05 and 1.06, because the 1.06 is empty, you'd imagine that the BPE would match that up at the top available - but if it is a glitch in their matching engine, it might just match you up to the next available slot with volume available.sionascaig wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 11:05 amJust a thought but have you considered placing two bets at different prices instead of the 1 to see what happens.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 8:19 pmThis one was a shocker!![]()

If they both go in at same time & you get widely different matches (in above scenario) then it could be case closed re Betdaq.
==> so in above example: @1.05 as per normal & say @1.5...
When you get a chance do read my post on page 6 of this thread where I tried to jump the queue by requesting odds of 2.0 and actually got matched at 2.0!mathsnerd wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 11:57 amYou backed a selection asking for 15 and you were matched at 12????
