Nice of them to admit they were wrong just in time to change nothing, it could have ended Arsenal's title challenge

In an alternate universe he's gotten the blue card there, that's basically why they wanted it, when they feel a yellow is not enough
So let me try and get my head around this (the issue, not your post Kai which I agree with) ... player was wrongly sent off, his team-mates protest to the referee he has made a mistake, the FA agree their referee made the mistake and the player is cleared of the red card, the FA are now charging the club/players for demonstrating that their referee made a mistake. I agree the players should not surround the referee (they didn't, see the pic.) but when they are right and the referee/VAR was wrong surely a little leniency should be considered!

Meanwhile, I'm still trying to work out why Doku's challenge on Mac Allister is being used as an example of a high foot challenge on the league's website, despite never given as a freekick at all, late in the match in the penalty area during a tight title race : https://www.premierleague.com/news/4079982

Or why Florentino Perez asked the Spanish FA to bring in English referees to improve the standard of officiating in La Liga :? : https://www.joe.co.uk/sport/florentino- ... ing-473719

Can't comment on David Coote's latest headlines though, but at least that man knew where to draw the line

All a bit farcical SMH

Not sure how Real ended up in the play-offs not as if there struggling in La Liga like City are in the Premier League, anyway the draw neither side will have wanted. Some big teams in the play-offs Bayern, Juve and Milan.

This new format has really stirred the pot. The top 8 are kind of predictable but the play-off teams are huge names.
I'm warming to the new format.

Big weekend this, City beat Arsenal and that could gift Liverpool the title, Liverpool still have to win but if they do I can't see anyone playing consistently well enough to catch them. Of course if Liverpool lose and Arsenal win then game on

Basketball coach Ange Postecoglu on the injury crisis: "Every time I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel it turns out to be an oncoming train."

Nice graphic.

Reminds me of the way Marcus Bielsa set up the Leeds team with the high intensity in/out of possession resulting in high scoring/high conceding, entertaining games. Pundits were eulogising about the style of play, but, the wheels fell off as players got burned out and injured, so he just brought in others, who maybe weren't quite fit and took time to adjust, resulting in loss of form, heavy defeats and ultimately, relegation.

If the higher management don't believe in his "system," then it will only end up one way, as it did for Bielsa. Leeds fans loved him for his efforts, not so sure the Spurs fans feel the same way for Ange P....(unless everything clicks into place and they go on a winning run)

Ten games in. Updated prediction (assuming no teams suffer points deduction):

1 Arsenal
2 Man City

11 Brentford
12 Fulham
13 Crystal Palace
14 Notts F
15 West Ham
16 Wolves
17 Leicester
18 Everton
19 Southampton
20 Ipswich

13/14 games in...

Not much change except at the top!

1 Chelsea
2 Arsenal
3 Man City

Half way point of the season. My updated prediction just for a bit of fun.

It seems Chelsea have thrown away a realistic title chance. How much longer can Liverpool's luck hold out at the top? The Scousers think it's in the bag. I'm not so sure...

Bournemouth/Liverpool U3.5 market dropped 7 ticks during halftime.

Edit: make that 10 ticks!

Well it worked, they got an equaliser 2 minutes later for a 2-2 draw.
