I have created a system that adds and removes markets to Guardian using API’s and adds rules to the various markets based on the coupon that the market was loaded to Guardian from.
Usually everything works well, but this morning I realised that Guardian hadn’t place any bets since yesterday afternoon, and worse, none of the bets placed in the last hour had greened because the markets weren’t refreshing in Guardian.
When I logged in to my VM (not a BA VM) to check, I found that the API’s were still adding and removing markets (they remove markets that go into play without a matched bet, leaving me with just the markets that need to green during the match – which I usually manually remove once a day) but there were no markets listed starting between about 5pm yesterday (when the problem must have started) and when I checked, and the markets that had just been loaded but were not yet in play all showed a trading volume of £0.
This is the second time this has happened. Yesterday was probably about 3 or 4 days since I last closed Bet Angel and the VBA enabled spreadsheet that calls the API’s, so I’m thinking that maybe Guardian or Bet Angel can only remain open for so many days before it needs to be closed and restarted.
In April I’ll be away for a week without computer access. My plan was to have my system running while I’m away, but I wonder whether that is possible.
Thanks
How long can Guardian remain open?

Use something like Chrome Remote Desktop to control your PC from your mobile phone while you are away.
That would be an option but I won't have access to a phone either.
An option might be to write a small app that closes everything down and re-opens BA, Guardian and my Excel spreadsheet when I don't have any bets in open markets - usually in the early hours UK time.
But I'd be interested to know if there is a limit as to how long Guardian can remain open.
Thanks
