The way i do it now is creating profits.
I watched you tube videos and picked up how other traders were trading inplay.
I then used this forum to try out different screens and used practice mode on a trial and error basis.
I tried this 9 months ago and could not get it to work. Came back to ut after investigating and an pleased i did.
I am still refining it but i feel it is the way to go for me.
Fingers crossed it continues.

If you are able to read form, have a decent historic data set and understand how markets move, TPD, Drones and all other time based advantages are irrelevant....6 years of success cant be wrong. (But you have to adapt to the way the markets have and are changing in running_)...put the time in and you get the rewards.
Many good members on here swear form is irrelevantLogijunior wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 12:54 pmIf you are able to read form, have a decent historic data set and understand how markets move, TPD, Drones and all other time based advantages are irrelevant....6 years of success cant be wrong. For me, I've found normal Betfair pictures to be quick enough for the type of in play i do. Small sample size though so could have been luck.
I just watch to see which horse is getting flogged / whipped / off the bit / pushed on with little odds change

I trade in-running very successfully. Never ever look at form.Fugazi wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 2:55 pmMany good members on here swear form is irrelevantLogijunior wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 12:54 pmIf you are able to read form, have a decent historic data set and understand how markets move, TPD, Drones and all other time based advantages are irrelevant....6 years of success cant be wrong. Are you doing it in a similar way to me, or something more tpd / numbers based without giving anything away?jamesedwards wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 3:59 pmI trade in-running very successfully. Just race reading on the fly, with a bit of TPD thrown in.Fugazi wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 4:42 pmAre you doing it in a similar way to me, or something more tpd / numbers based without giving anything away?jamesedwards wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 3:59 pmI trade in-running very successfully. On reflection I do take notice of SP, so I guess that sort of counts as form.
I can race read and understand all the dymanics of inplay but never had the time to actively trade it. When TPD came along my prayers were answered and it meant I could put a number on it and set it up to trade automatically.Logijunior wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 12:54 pmIf you are able to read form, have a decent historic data set and understand how markets move, TPD, Drones and all other time based advantages are irrelevant....6 years of success cant be wrong. I find it interesting when you say this - my assumed edge is seeing what the jockey is doing with minimal price change. I suspect this is because the speed / position is not changing despite increased effort.Euler wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 5:19 pmI can race read and understand all the dymanics of inplay but never had the time to actively trade it. Seems like my edge is because of people following speed only on tpd. So always get my brain working wondering what it is you are up to
