Was this ever considered a possibility?

Don't see Discourse ever mentioned, not to be confused with Discord. It's a popular forum platform, much like Slack has been. Not an expert, but it looks to me like the forum equivalent of BA given its feature-packed design.

Key takeaways at first glance:
  • Open-source and free to use
  • Can import existing phpBB content
  • Your data is yours to keep
  • Unbannable, unlike the Facebook group

Features : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzBjrATVbmA

How it looks like in practice : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3qp_uB46FA

My view is simply that a traditional phpBB forum has limited growth potential and will become increasingly less appealing to younger audiences over time. There's no doubt that activity overall has been dwindling, perhaps a migration could reverse that trend. I think anyone looking to build the best possible platform and community for trading already has the top tools available out there.

@mods Just a random idea, move the thread out of the Suggestions area if you don't think it belongs there.

We have looked at many things over the years to help improve the forum experience.

I haven't seen this before so will give it a look.

The only thing I'd be aware of is that people hate change!

Yep, I'm not a big fan of change either.

But coincidentally, I remember coming across a pretty decent article on that!
