Hello all Bet Angel users!

We are all here searching for the optimal trading strategy that can be automated. My question is whether anyone has a well-functioning strategy that has been successful over time. If so, it would be great if someone could share a link to that thread.

I used AI to search the internet, and it found a person who had written this on the BTC Forum:
"For example, one user reported a 90% strike rate over a few days using an L2B strategy that aims for a 10-tick profit with a 2.50 stop loss."

Has anyone here tested this or has a template for it?

If you lay something at 6, it will lose 83% of the time. If you offset by a certain number of ticks (10 is very small) that strike rate goes above 90%. Put a stop loss in and you lose money.

Thank you for sharing your insights! Your math is mostly correct—if you lay at 6.0, the selection will indeed lose around 83% of the time. Offsetting by a small number of ticks, like 10, can increase the strike rate above 90%, as small price movements occur frequently. However, a high strike rate alone doesn’t guarantee profitability.

The key factor is the **average profit per winning trade versus the average loss per losing trade**. A poorly placed stop loss can get triggered too often, leading to small but frequent losses that outweigh the wins. That said, a well-placed stop loss can also be a useful risk management tool.

Do you know of any proven, profitable horse trading strategies that have been successful over time? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks again!

It might be worth your time searching "why people do not share profitable horse racing strategies"?

And maybe have a look at some of the "value", "volatility", "volume", "margin" discussions.

PS: I wouldn't rely on AI too much. Far better doing your own research atm...

Yes..... lots people have been making a living out of trading automated and manual strategies for anything up to two decades, some back to 2000 when Betfair first started. Will someone just give you one, no, because the available money is limited and they've worked too hard to just gift half their wages to a stranger.

This is AI.

AI overuses the word insight. Not to mention as a whole it is too well written.

Usually on the 3rd and 4th post there will be a spam link. I report this and wait for the next bot.

Not all heroes wear capes.

Peter - might have to start to thinking of implementing a new anti spam measure on forum sign up

Must admit it looked like AI to me.

We are seeing increasing numbers of these types of posts and registrations. It's a difficult line to tread as you could easily block someone. But we will tweak things a little.

On further research this is actually a customer, but maybe English is not his native language so he ran it through AI. So it is AI, but it isn't!

Logic failure.... Going on the BTC forum and taking advice from a guy taking about £2.50 is like going to the Berkshire Hathaway AGM and taking advice from the tramp sat outside begging. No sane person operates like that.

I have only used AI for internet searches, but i am for sure a Norwegian Customer of BA, and have been that since beginning of 2000. I have been following Peter along his journey towards his success. Due to a illness i unfortunately could not participate in his cource about BA and trading strategy's. Now i pay closely attention to his movements and learning slowly towards something that can lead to a successful trading. 8-)

My bad... There's been a spate of bots lately posting the same kind of content and then posting a link after a few posts

No i did not. AI made a suggestion for it since i did refer to the BTC Forum and that single user refer to the high strike rate and profit. I am sorry if a did misslead anyone.

You didn't mislead anyone, nothing wrong with using AI to make a forum post easier to read if it adds clarity
