Snooker betting/trading
I have been wanting to get into betting & trading on snooker for a while but there seems to be very little in the way of information or discussion about it. I understand it maybe isn't the most popular or of the highest liquidity, but I was wondering if anyone here does get involved with the snooker or know of anywhere I can look for some information/discussions on it?
Many thanks
Many thanks
I have been active in snooker for a number of years. If you are a value trader I suggest the place to start is the ELO rankings. A good place to start is:

If you are more into trading price moves then I can't help, it's not very liquid and there will be a problem with courtsiders I would have thought. I don't get involved inplay for this reason but maybe I'm wrong.

Welcome to the forum, Rick. There are some snooker threads here: viewforum.php?f=13&sid=2138cada0f8a39e74d649c83e3759dfd
Unlike Tumby, I'm not a snooker specialist. I jump from sport to sport looking for markets with particular characteristics. I trade snooker if there's enough money in the market and there's nothing else on the go. Regardless, I think snooker is worth a look if you're new to Bet Angel and you have an interest in the game. You many find it easier to see what's going on in lower volume markets, anyway.
Those volumes in prestigious tournaments tend to be measured in tens of thousands rather than hundreds, but when you're just starting out that won't be a problem. There's more money when games are on the telly. I find these markets more tradeable when there's only one or two tables in play. When there are multiple tables, much like when there's more than one stage in play in darts tournaments, the cash is spread out and very little can be accomplished. In those circumstances, sometimes one match will have a higher volume than the others. I'd try to trade that match.
These World Championship qualifier markets that are on just now are feeble. I only looked at them after reading your post. Slessor vs Xintong has matched 13 grand. The rest are a couple of thousand or even hundreds of pounds.
It'll get better when the World Champs proper get underway. Watch the markets via the ladders, use small stakes at first and try to work out what's going on.
All the best.

I'm generally new to sports trading as a whole and started only a few months back on football. Now im much more settled into that and with the season coming to an end on the major european leagues, im looking for something new to add to it.
I assumed market liquidity would be best for the world so making the push to prepare for this.
Many thanks
