I just don't know how anybody could risk big money on such an arb without fear of being gubbed by either side. Perhaps the bookies are more honourable in the US?

Huffman later told ESPN on Sunday. "If you happen to have $100,000 sitting around and can get it into a sportsbook, it was a risk free $2,500. Most odds boosts of this nature are $50 max bet, because the edge is so great."

To encourage the placing of what might be people's life savings into a venture fraught with palpable risk of ruin is thoroughly irresponsible. Nothing is risk-free.
