A little bump for Liam James who currently leads the BA league , who sits in 8th place globally.. only 9 points off the overall leader-board , what a magnificent effort

Good luck
I knew he'd been the long time leader of the BA league but hadn't realised he was also doing so well on the global board,
That is a fantastic achievement well done Liam

Peter aint doing too shabby either, no prizes for 2nd though

Sky should have a £1M prize for the outright winner

I've managed to predict as many results as anybody, but those 50/50 calls on the scores just haven't gone my way. But a decent season anyhow.

With one round left, there isn't a realistic way to catch Liam. We've both predicted the same number of results, but Liam has more scores.

More importantly, if Liam wants to go out with a bang and throw some out there predictions in, he could top the entire league. I think that's worth a shot.

Really hoping he bangs in a good one this weekend

I put in a random entry under a different username one week, to put some points on the board, but mainly to see how many people are in the competition.

I reckon there are around two million.

That puts Liam better than 99.99996% of people. I'm only better than 99.98% ;)

GCSE Maths – 2025

A Super6 league at a workplace has 131 players.
One player in this league is currently ranked 387 out of 2,000,000 players worldwide.
What is the probability that this player leads their league? Convert to decimal odds
(4 marks)

1.02/1.03

How pissed off will this guy be if he's 2nd?
(1 mark)

Very

Curiously, I never expect to be the best at anything in the short term. To be at the very top of anything in the short term is almost impossible because just pure luck could get you there.

But over the long term, being in the mix all the time will shuffle you to the right edge of the bell curve over time.

That's my approach with trading in general. Just doing the right things all the time, and while you may not get the reward short term, you will in the long term. Unfortunately, S6 will only be over a season, so I'll probably never finish top.

LOCKYER FC AVOIDS PAGE 2 ON FINAL DAY

In scenes that can only be described as “technically football,” Lockyer FC secured Super6 top flight survival on the final day with a resolute, passion-free 4 points, confirming 13th place and sparing themselves the indignity of Page 2.

Manager Simon, affectionately dubbed “The Minister of 1-0s,” has once again done just enough to extend his reign, despite delivering the lowest score tally in the top 15, Simon watched on emotionless as other teams’ inconsistency once again did his job for him.

“It’s a results business,” Simon muttered post-match, staring into the void. “And I got a result. Sort of.”

The day itself was vintage Lockyer: four 1-0s, two 2-0s, and a crowd that had fully accepted their fate by halftime. At one point, even the opposition team was seen yawning.

Fans flooded out of the stadium at full-time, not in celebration, but out of pure habit -- as they’ve been doing around the 78th minute since October.

Club insiders suggest the board held crisis talks after the final whistle, but after checking the severance clause and sighing heavily, they reluctantly confirmed Simon would stay on.

Elsewhere, James FC were crowned champions, playing something called "attacking football" and reportedly "trying to win games." Lockyer officials have confirmed they will not be looking into an approach at this time.
