i cant use excel

hi, when i go to use excel and open woorbook receive this message unable to open excel, error 80040154, any help, thanks

I found this on a programmer's help thing

goto Controlpanel --> Administrative tools-->Component Services -->computers --> myComputer -->DCOM Config --> Microsoft Excel Application.

right click to get properties dialog. Goto Security tab and customize permissions accordingly.

In Launch and Application Permissions, select Customize, Edit. Add the user / group that calls the application.

In addition make sure that all the updates are installed, including dot net stuff

It will also give this message if there are stale copies of excel running, with excel closed, start windows task manager and close any copies of excel running. If there are any that should sort the problem.

thanks, Nic, i think is for i use excel 2010, when i used excel 2003 function is good.
