Where did you see that? They can, but I thought that was set at account level by Betfair following a request to be allowed to?jamesedwards wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 2:25 pmThis isn't true anymore. You won't be 'fast' until you get to a minimum size stake.
Quite a technical one for me

You can't get round the in-running delay. You can act faster to send a bet, but the delay is in the Betfair matching process, not BA.

It changed for me some time ago, perhaps a year? I don't generally stake below £1 anyway and didn't ever request anything. I assumed it was a global change.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 2:43 pmWhere did you see that? 12/06/2025 14:51:37: [G_Auto 1] : Store Value (Shared) for market: 50p bet trigger = 1

Bloody hell.... Its a long learning curve this game... That's the stuff that really locks me up really, quantifying things
this is where being a mathematician would be advantageous... I just have a higher creativity than most, but terrible at everything else I need to do to get it to how i imagine it lol

Would be interested to know the exact match time. The log looks like that's 14:51:38 but that might be the time the place happened.
Removing the min bet size completely is huge, a much bigger deal than going from £2 to £1. I'd have expected a parade with brass band but saw nothing

Practice, experience & exposure. You'll get there. I got my first programming job over 40yrs ago so just think a certain way.
Lego or Mecanno is a good analogy, it's a box of parts, but you can put them together in different ways to do the same thing. Some ways are just slicker than others. But start simple and build on it, having 10 different signals and a whole heap of triggers and resets is going in at the deep end.

Annoyingly looks like it just missed out on taking a nice reward of profit.
But anyway this is the speed I'm roughly got it working on. so there's now a second when triggered to it being matched, which is pretty fast probably going to reduce the tick amount offset so at least I take a little profit from them

Fascinating and thx for the test.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 4:23 pmDefinitely 1 sec delay for me:

Would be interested to hear from Peter or BA dev about when the place/amend code was changed or removed for sub mins. Or maybe that only ran if the place returned an error?
Everyday is a schoolday I guess, looks like I can change my system to place a swarm of 10p bets rather than everything being £10 liability.

It's not like I didn't believe what you said, it's just I couldn't believe it iykwim

Perhaps that is why there was no fanfare.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 5:45 pm... looks like I can change my system to place a swarm of 10p bets rather than everything being £10 liability.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 4:23 pmDefinitely 1 sec delay for me:

Guys I'm still having some issues with this. (I've chopped it down for simplistic reasons, but the principles are still the same).
What its not doing, is betting on the whole market where a trigger has been activated by one of the runners.
Instead its just firing on 1 at a time, I've ran this all day yesterday (this is a smaller version) and it only bets on one horse at a time, Not all the runners and I don't understand why.
I've selected the 'applies to selection' to EVERY, So in my head it should fire on EVERY runner where the trigger has been activated and then place a back bet on all the runners (excluding the one that caused the trigger in the first place). However its not dong it and I require help to diagnose why

Hi
your "back bet" rules are not applied to "every", they are applied to 1,2 and 3rd fav.
