Betfair matched £9.12m at post at Ascot today +11% YoY. On a like-for-like basis, Betdaq matched £2.1m up 23% on last year.

Looks like the trend from Cheltenham and Aintree is going to continue
Question now is whether they were so low last year they weren't hard to top, or if its a overall sign things are starting to picking up :?:

The first race, the 14:30 was completely bonkers. Not sure I've seen a group 2 race like that before, especially at Ascot. That's a loss for me on the first race!

I notice the huge spike in volume prior to the movement. Presumably the two are related?

Yes, you are looking for volume spikes and how the price reacts to it.

I think I would describe today from a pre-off perspective, skittish. Markets seemed to move a lot and some moves were pretty big. Unusual for such a quality meeting. I got caught out on the first race but got my act together from that point onwards.
