Everyone knows Max always sits close on the restart to try and force exactly that type of situation, and Oscar knows the rules about erratic driving behind the SC, especially in the wet. Oscar screwed up big time and deserved at least a 5s penalty.
Agreed. But for me the story of the day was the magnificent Nico Rosberg finally achieving his first podium after 239 races!! Having watched him lose several previous podium opportunities to skids / crashes and stupidity, I was absolutely thrilled to see him bring that Sauber home! I honestly thought Hamilton would be sure to nab him when he closed to 5 seconds with many laps remaining, but Nico finally held on and broke Lewi's 12+ podium at the British GP streak.

Indeed, he was very unlucky not to have the victory. And yes - apologies, Rosberg won his title, (beating Lewis in a Merc!) and retired; I meant to say the Hulk.bobalski wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 3:02 amNico Hulkenberg say's hiCrazyskier wrote: ↑Sun Jul 06, 2025 7:58 pm

As an Aussie I was pretty pissed, but he won't make that same 'mistake' again.
I'm not surprised Oscar was gutted, circumstances knocked him down at every turn. Once he got past Max he put 15+ secs on the field before a safety car brought the field back up to him. Then he put another 5 seconds on them in a few laps before another safety car brought him back to the pack. He then put another 5 seconds on them when he then got a touch and go 10 sec penalty which was acknowledged by most pundits (and other drivers) as harsh.
