Hi,
Can someone point me to Peter's video about Euler's Formula for predicting 0 (zero) goals?
It may have been called something like "magic formula" - but I can't get results on a search.
I remember watching it on Youtube not too long ago
Thanks
David M
Euler formula
What a lovely story, reminiscent of simpler times. Surely a defining moment for Peter at the start of his innovative career. We are all better for it. The genesis of a book maybe?
The equation is generally regarded as the most beautiful equation in the world and there is a joke that has the three components
ribbing each other. GET REAL! BE RATIONAL! LETS JOIN TOGETHER AS - ONE

I believe you're referring to Peter's video on the "Magic Formula" or Euler’s Formula used for predicting 0-goal outcomes. It might be the one where he combines expected goals (xG), Poisson distribution, and some clever modeling to estimate the probability of goalless results.
If it's not showing up in search, try checking his channel's playlist under stats or modeling. Also, look for keywords like “0-0 prediction”, “Poisson model”, or “Magic Goal Formula”. It might also help to filter by upload date if you saw it recently.
Hope this helps you track it down!

5 years ago, I was one of those cheering @ 1.51.
It's great to re-watch some of Peter's videos, there's always something you/I missed the first time around.
