Big day tomorrow. Get the popcorn out.

Yeah, this is an awfully difficult stage. I’m watching live today, but I’m resolved to keep BA closed!

It's like Pavlov's dog. Sport and BA. Enjoy.

What a stage. Jonas has him covered but think Pogi is digging in at the moment. Drifting to 1.28. There is a duel in the high mountains brewing.

Yeah, that was brilliant to watch. The big mountain days and opportunities for the break always produce the best markets, too. More than 100K matched.

I think Pogacar’s still in complete control myself. He’s riding more conservatively because Almeida’s out and Sivakov was having a bad day, but he’s got one eye on the Vuelta, too. We’ll see big Pogacar attacks at some point, but I expect there will be more economy of effort overall.

PS I swear I didn’t trade it or log on to BA. Hardest thing I’ve ever done. 😋

Nicely done. Sometimes pure sport for pure enjoyment is the better option.

A minute plus is a lot to make up through. It means 2 great day for Jonas or 1 very bad day for Pogi. Which at the moment does look very unlikely.

No mention of the first Irish Yellow Jersey holder since Stephen Roche in 1987, back when cycling was clean and pure :? ;)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQojh-wqL04 I was only 6 but I would have been screaming at the tv if I knew what was going on - Euro 88, Italia 90 etc were still to come for Ireland, the 80's had been pretty mundane for most my childhood apart from the big snow in 1982!

Watched that live on TV with my Dad. Must have just broken up from school. It still gives me goosebumps now. Equally memorable is what he said to the doctor in French after being given oxygen at the finish line. 8-)

Ben Healy the Black Country Waterford lad. Great engine.

Did anyone trade the stage 11 market today? I’ve been concentrating my efforts elsewhere recently, but I decided to have a go this afternoon. I was surprised to find the market subject to repeated and frequent suspensions in-play. I must have had half a dozen bets fail to reach the market as a result of the suspensions. I gave up in the end. Maddening.

No. Wasn't trading it.

Bad day for a spill before Hautacam. Slightly went down in installments but was lucky not to clout kerb or bollards etc.
Class from the peloton.

Next few days..... Game on.

I think tomorrow is a stay out of the outright market day.

Might drift a bit more.
Jonas might gain something.

We gain information.

Then maybe back Pogi on a drift depending on what happens.

If I were Pogacar - assuming no ill-effects from the crash - I’d look to really test Vingegaard tomorrow, try to take as much time as possible. Otherwise he’ll have to endure repeated Visma efforts to attack and isolate him with UAE looking a bit weak. It’s attack or be attacked. But take enough time from Jonas and Visma will start to think about protecting their podium position instead of winning.

I’m for the golf tomorrow anyway, but I will record and watch the stage as live before bedtime. Enjoy!
