OPEN BETFAIR ACCOUNT FROM ANOTHER CONTRY

Hi!
BETFAIR closed down all Swedish account on July 16th.
This is crazy since we are so honest people.

My question is if it is possible to open an account in another country using VPN connection?
Is there any user out there that have tried this and what are the do's and don'ts?

Do I need to have an legal address in the country when I register the account?
I just want to have an account and then use Bet Angel, which I currently was using.

Credit card don't seems to be an issue.

Wow why have they done this i was thinking of coming there to visit and Trade from my hotel, now i will cancel. Is it something to do with the UK

The official line :

It's a strategic decision from the International Team. We want to focus on regions where we have "podium positions" and unfortunately Sweden does not fit that profile.

The technical requirements between regulators vary greatly. There are certain technical requirements that we simply couldn't commit to for a small subset of customers. Regulators tend to like consistent rules across operators so I doubt they'd be open to a deal. The closest functioning exchange is Denmark.

Finland is still open as well I think? An address across a border is what you often see people doing.
