John Deere Classic golf market not turned in-play. Players on the course for the best part of an hour.

16:20 @ Ascot.
There's obviously going to be a stewards enquiry, so Betfair keep the market suspended, only for them to close it after the enquiry is announced. They then take a full 15 mins to decide to reopen the market in Specials, and then fail to suspend that once the stewards' decision is announced.
Betfair throw away so much horse racing volume due to poor market management. Photos, Stewards, often badly managed.
What a shambles.

I don't know why Betfair don't just automatically re-open every horse racing market after the finish for a set period of time.
There's always loads of volume wanting to trade just after the race as people want to manage their positions for photos, or possible enquiries.
Just suspend at the finish, then re-open every race straight away for 30 secs. Then this can be extended for races where an enquiry is announced or expected. Would be an easy way for Betfair to add a few incremental % to overall volumes.

Betfair seem to have completely given up on reopening for photos today. There's been five winning distances a neck or less so far, and not one photo market.

Finally they open a photo market for the first race at Windsor. Change of shift and the evening crew more on the ball perhaps?jamesedwards wrote: ↑Mon Jul 14, 2025 5:40 pmBetfair seem to have completely given up on reopening for photos today. Good job too as I got up to 180.0 on the dead-heat 1st. Possibly my highest ever matched price in a photo.

Women's Scottish Open 2025 - Winner market
BF have this market as In-play (24th July) but tourney doesn't start until 30th July. And qualification rounds still underway I think.
This a mistake or just a feature of golf winner markets?

No, the tournament started this morning, I think. There are players on course just now.

Not an error as such, but a source of dismay. It’s half-past-eight at night and there’s still no market for tomorrow’s stage of the Tour de France. These are the best cycling markets of the year; there’s a link to the Tour markets on the front page of the exchange. Surely it makes sense to get the market up early, particularly when it’s likely to match 50 grand before the off.
The last few stages have been brilliant to trade. The exchange offers something unique for cycling punters, but the administration of these markets has been really slipshod this year.

19:00 @ Chepstow, Betfair initially mis-settled with the non-runner Dapper Gee as the winner. Has since been corrected to Flag of St George, but any P&L captures in BA will be incorrect.

I've seen it all now. The Fed-Ex St Jude is going to a play-off between Rose and Spaun. BF have suspended the market and appear to be settling the rest of the field. Unbelievable.
