Hi all - for the past month (almost) I've been recording photo finishes in my log and have registered approaching 100 cases. Despite the fact that I've been covering UK, Ireland, US and AUS, however, EVERY single photo has been either UK or Ireland. I also dabbled with France, NZL and RSA, but no photos there, either.
Clearly, there will have been photo finishes in both US and AUS races, and I'm wondering what is the difference between the market behaviour in these countries that I should be detecting?
I'm sure that I'm not the first to run into this, but I couldn't find anything already on the forum.
All thoughts welcome thanks.

I don't know about Aus, but Betfair don't offer any photo markets on US or French races. Race suspends at the end and doesn't ever reopen for photo/stewards etc.noseve wrote: ↑Thu Jul 31, 2025 5:36 pmHi all - for the past month (almost) I've been recording photo finishes in my log and have registered approaching 100 cases. Massive incremental opportunity for Betfair to change the way they manage the end of horse races.
> Initial suspend as they cross the line.
> Immediately reopen every race for a set period (perhaps 30 secs?) before final suspend.
> For races manually managed they could hold markets open for longer when appropriate due to ongoing photo or stewards enquiry.
I also mentioned this to the guy from Betdaq who was around for a few weeks, but he wasn't interested.

Yes I don't think Betdaq even do this for UK photo finishes and stewards enquiries.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Fri Aug 01, 2025 1:16 pmMassive incremental opportunity for Betfair to change the way they manage the end of horse races.
