I had to command it to stop complimenting every idea or suggestion I proffered. Twice it said it couldn't do a task and when I asked why not, it said it could do it all along. Is it toying with me? And I've seen factual errors which show it was accessing clearly out of date information which most casual observers would have known was wrong.
Much work still to be done.

Thx Shaun. I'll have a look on YouTube and see what I need to do to get started...ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Fri Aug 08, 2025 10:14 am
Just talk to it.
But its far better at 'teach me how' than 'do this for me', and remain sceptical about the responses esp with Betfair strategy as it's naive, sometimes suggesting complete bollocks. It's still very much augmented intelligence rather than a replacement for it so stay sharp.
I don't even know what to open up and how to talk to it.
When I said I know zero, i meant zero. It's all good, I was just hoping someone would be able to say 'Look at this tutorial' or 'Look at this YouTube vid'.
I'll sort it out...

Can second how well GPT comes up with excel solutions and it throws up other ideas to explore too.
I still only use the free version, which also allows access to GPT 5. Yes, it limits the daily usage, but that's probably a good thing for me.
It recently helped me with a legal issue which has now given me a window of opportunity to sue a corporate entity utilising the no win no fee structure.
Heck, is there anything it can't do?

1. Just click here : https://chatgpt.com/
2. And ask it anything, talk like you would with a normal person
It's dead simple, you don't even need an account to start talking to the free ChatGPT version. Conversations etc won't be saved, so you should register if you find it helpful, and you can still use the free version.
For useful extra info, and sometimes alternatives it hadn't mentioned already, try asking "why, you sure?, no way!, really?" or some random exclamation after it's presented its conclusions. I've got some helpful extra ideas that way. In one case, doing that prevented me from erasing all data from a USB stick; something it had made no mention of in our conversation up to that point!
