when the market randomly goes inplay for greyhound races?

Need help with what just happened please ... The 13.33 at Towcester.. on my screen at least, the market went in play and stayed in play until a minute after the finish. I was able to trade and match bets after the race had finished at seemingly pre off prices . it seemed like a glitch or something can anyone advise? for example i matched lays at high odds after i knew who had already won. I was of course tempted to put my whole bank roll on it but chickened out as i wasn't sure what was happening.. the bets are still open i take it they will be discredited?

Most likely Betfair will retrospectively void any bets matched after the official off-time.

Thanks for replying, you were right I just got the liability for the lay bets returned , but the bet still isn't settled
