Better still you could turn left into Lutterworth on both lanes as the right hand lane has road markings to go left or right. There was a completely unnecessary tail back on the M1 because people can't look at road markings on the floor.
Or even better still for all the people trying to get to Birmingham you can drive up to Leicester and use the main road to Birmingham instead of using all the slow back roads from Lutterworth to Birmingham.

Just Googled it. Smart motorways already detect people driving in closed lanes. £100 fine. Probably paid for Angela Rayners tax avoidance yesterday.
