How would I get bet angel to bet on a 'new fav', so basically an SP favourite that is not in row 1. Could I set it to place a back bet on it automatically at the off or just after? Also, when you choose for betfair to apply a given rule to a specific runner and you want the favourite but it isn't always in row 1, when you choose ' sorted by position of favouritism' - this changes, based on what is the current favourite in-running. Can't you make it choose specifically the SP favourite?
Many thanks for any help

Or create a custom rank based on SP, then back the first horse other than 1st in custom rank that is currently favourite.
Apply the rule to the fav with a 'Current Selection' conditionbests3lleruk wrote: ↑Fri Sep 26, 2025 7:26 pmHow would I get bet angel to bet on a 'new fav', so basically an SP favourite that is not in row 1. Also when applying a rule by order of favouritism you can configure how the favouritism sort is done in your main automation settings area (by default the order of favouritism is determined by lowest back price)

So setting that option to 'Actual SP' means you can apply a rule to the fav with the above condition and trigger it when in-play
and providing the runner in row 1 was not the SP fav then it will trigger on which ever runner was the SP fav

Many thanks for all replies. I will tinker with and apply this to a piece of automation later.
