Hello. Still very new to this and trying to set up automatic betting in Excel. I've set up the BetAngel_Multiple spreadheet (in practice mode) so that on opening it shows a required price and stake and WAIT or BET in the individual command line. As soon as I connect, I get ERROR in the status (whether it's WAIT or BET). Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

WAIT or BET are not valid instructions. Where did you get these from?

Have you read the userguide?

You need to use BACK or LAY if you want to place bets. Then place the odds and stake you want to use in the relevant cells.

There are other instructions available too.

Sorry, I should have said WAIT or BACK. I realise WAIT is not a command - but I thought an example on BetAngel TV also allowed you to include a comment as well as a command.

Sorry Tub. Are you saying that the order matters? Do you have to input BACK before specifying odds and price?

You can add Excel comments as you would in any Excel spreadsheet (right click cell - add comment). Is this what you mean?

If not, post up the link to the video you are referring to.

But if you were using BACK then there must have been something wrong with either the odds or stake cells to generate the error.

You can populate these cells in any order.

It was a conditional comment, which appears to have been used in http://www.betangel.tv/video/using-bet- ... ng-buttons (after 5 mins in).

I'm with The Tub, there must be a problem with the odds, stake or command lines. If you are using "IF" statements to generate these values you may need to round the values. It may help if you post the IF arguements.

I see. That is not a comment.

That is a conditional statement.

You can embed and nest as many conditional statements as you wish using the IF function within Excel.

What is the statement you are using? It is likely there is something wrong with it.

The problem does appear to be the link triggering the bet from 'my spreadsheet'. I've got a cell in my spreadsheet in which I enter either WAIT or BACK, which is linked to the command line in the BetAngel spreadsheet [=myspreadsheetB29]. I now realise I can do what I want directly in the command line. It seems obvious now. Thanks for the comments which have helped to put me on the right track.
