£15m payoff or not...

Dead man walking, you can see it in his eyes. He is just desperate to be outta there. But won't resign because of the payoff.

The magic mentality Anfield monsters. Just nuts.
I'm getting the idea for a genius new football strategy, if this keeps up 😏

Fast forward to April 2030 - and Man Utd's last ever home game at Old Trafford.....

0 injuries which I don't think I've ever seen before
Welp, and just like that, 4 injuries potentially in the span of a week!

Mean reversion is mean

I think Carra's wrong to demand Wirtz be dropped, he's created the most chances in all comps (21 by OPTA, 2nd best is Grealish at 18 so far) which is his main role... they're just not being converted due to Isak's slow start and Salah's abysmal form etc.. altho Wirtz also missed a few absolute sitters as well, I see compilations of all of his touches again after every match and he looks on it but the team around him is not on the same elite wavelength yet... interesting to see Slot use his bestie Frimpong on the right wing to get some linkup play going which looked pretty good and resulted in Frimpong getting into some excellent positions in the box but hasn't produces anything there (his performance vs Palace was an absolute disasterclass  directly cost Liverpool in the very last second, Slot was furious and threw him under the bus immediately)

Anyway, I feel the real imbalance comes from the new fullbacks, their avg positions seem further up, on the right especially since both of them were struggling with knocks at the start of the season so Szoboszlai had to step in, but he's not an ideal errorless solution as can be seen by the soft pen in the Galatasaray loss

But Leoni tearing his ACL against Saints exposes the CB situation completely, since this was already the only real weakness in the squad ever since Guehi's transfer failed at the last moment, and magnified by the fact that Konate started the season very shaky, not sure whether his head is already in Madrid or if he's really on the verge of a new contract as some have reported (not heard enough noise there so I don't buy into that yet)... I think they absolutely need someone like Guehi in Jan, he'd be home-grown so Chiesa could stay registered in the CL squad, otherwise he'd be out again and impact sub options would be limited

Last season the team peaked in November during that crazy run with minimal rotations, this time around Slot wants to rotate more (like benching Salah at Galay) to not fall off later in the season again, but that looks like it's going to be tricky with so many new players, it could take a lot longer than expected for everyone to settle in properly, it's a bit of a mini transition for the team atm (great for traders) so every point they pick up early on is worth so much more
