This week’s PGA Tour event comes from Japan. The prize purse is chunky compared to other autumn tournaments.

Can anyone tell me, please, if the market will be comparable to the best US competitions or whether it will be a wasteland due to the awkward time difference between the UK and Japan?

Trying to plan my week in advance. Ta.

The Sanderson farms traded £600k, mostly on day 4.

There don’t seem to be more than a dozen traders left.

I would be surprised if the Japan golf event was more - just depends on tv coverage.

Some of the golf events on Betfair are absolute wastelands. New ideas are needed - but they have had so long, they clearly can’t be bothered.

What do you suggest they do?

The problem is not mine.

They could get better pics to distribute, offer better comm rates, pay market makers, stop alienating users

I rarely trade outside of the majors.

Thanks for the replies.

Aussie, I thought the Sanderson Farms was OK, to be honest. Thursday was tragic, admittedly - no serious money at all - but the final round was good to trade. Belter of a finish. Very exciting.

The Alfred Dunhill Links drew a lot of the money this week (awkward scheduling if you’re in Australia?) I was put off by the multi-course format over the first few days.
The market looked good on Saturday. I was ready to have a go regardless of the play being in different locations, but 20-odd minutes after the players teed off play was stopped for the day due to strong winds.

I thought, perhaps, that Aussie money might find its way into the Baycurrent market this week given the time zones. I completely agree that the vast majority of ladies’ events and senior tours on the exchange are a complete waste of time in terms of volume.

I don’t have numbers for different tournaments, unfortunately. Other than Peter’s majors and the flagship events which are always liquid, I wish I had a better idea of what was in store for me each week. I can’t fathom why the Rocket Classic should be great to trade while the Procore was rubbish in comparison.

Can't see any markets up for this yet?

They’ll add it this afternoon. The Sanderson Farms had barely finished and my mind was away onto the next tournament.
