I am still busy, but play more golf than work.

Work is generally over-rated.

Grey market bookies/beards/crypto exchanges all offer alternatives. (its now illegal in New Jersey to use a beard - offence similar to fixing dice in a casino/marking cards)

(Flutter share price continues to freefall. Now 18,180 from 23.00 6 weeks ago.) The FTSE has risen 3% in the same time-frame, making the Flutter weakness even more notable. I think the gambling sector generally is in a pretty bad place. Maybe time to find a real job.

It looks good - until u actually go to the track.

There are a max of about 200 people there, the headline figs dont include comm, which was considerable.

Tiny volume allows manipulation.

Sure, 310/1 looks great - but have $20 on, and it becomes 50/1

A lot of North American tracks are closing. Follow Penn Gambling stock if u interested.

More tracks closing this yr.

These were taken during racing (a yr ago), when I toured for 6 weeks.

My local, Laurel Park, has looked like this for about 7 years and will soon close after the renovations to Pimlico in Baltimore are finished. Both are Stronach tracks and I believe the huge plot of land at Laurel Park will be sold to Amazon. Its sad because for a while they were trying to turn the place into a casino/track/hotel location.

They also had indoor cricket nets all the way in the back of the stands some years ago for the local team. Which was interesting.

Watch out for that Newmarket slo-mo angle today. Doesn't look exactly perpendicular to me.

I flicked over to ITV and they seemed to have a slightly different angle. I think they may have more than one camera in the gantry?

Chepstow 13:22

Louis Veron hit the 1.01 quite early

@jamesedwards - was it too early for your strategy?

Second race of the day, and 1.01 downed at Chepstow.

Louis Veron comes storming past Frontier Prince before the last. Frontier takes a long look left as if to say, "who the fuck do you think you are?", and knuckles down to get back up. Worth watching on the replay. Brilliant!

1.01 £496.76
1.02 £251.72
1.03 £744.55
1.04 £415.49
1.05 £189.94

I wasn't fooled. Saw the winner eyeball the second and knew there was a chance he might get back up. I had a very small lay on the second but only a couple of quid.

I watched the replay on ITVX, just to check what they were up to. ITV very quickly showed a slow-mo repeat of the standard pan shot, but when they showed the proper high-speed cam slo-mo it was the exact same one as shown on RTV.

Interesting that ITV add the finish line graphic. And even more interesting that the graphic is not at exactly the right angle either!

Blimey it's a crazy day for dangles so far. York 2.05, my view was that it was a dead-heat, but near side won by a nose-hair.

£4.3k traded @ 1.01 on the second!
