Here is a ladder settings file which when imported and used will display your ladder screen exactly as you see it in the image below, above each selection it will store its traded volume at 5 minutes, then continully update the amount traded on each selection since the.

This allows you to clearly see which of the selections/runners is attacting the money since a specified time, ie, in the image below the front two runners are trading at similar prices, however in the last 59 secs the fav has attracted nearly double the amount of money.

To use these ladder setting’s, click the Volume.bls file below to download to your computer, then whilst on your ladder screen click the ‘Spanner’ icon to open the ladder settings editor and in the top left corner click;
Settings > Import Ladder Settings
Import Ladder Settings.JPG
Volume Increase.bls

To store and update the traded volume displayed you will also need to download and import the following rules file into Guardian, once downloaded to your computer open Guardian and on the ‘Automation’ tab click ‘Import a Rules’ file, then each day just add your markets to Guardian and apply that rules file to them all.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Fantastic, exactly what i was looking for.. is there a way i can have the volume traded in last 5 mins on each selection as a % of total volume for the market in last 5 mins?
eg: increase since: 12502 (40%)

Yes, select the rules file in Guardian and on the main banner click 'Edit rules file'
Then on the stored value tab (of both rules) change it from 'Volume of selection' to volume % of Selection'

Yes, you just need to configure the custom columns to look up the same info from the rules file as the ladder screen is using

I tip my hat totally to you fellas. The ability to display vital information on the one-click and ladder with custom columns, which has come through storing values and historical values with Guardian automation is an unbelievable piece of kit. It totally wipes the floor with Bet Angel's competitors

Is it possible to modify this file to place a back bet on the top two dogs with the highest traded volume, monitoring five minutes before the before the start of the race and place a back bet 10 seconds before the start of the race. The two dogs with the highest trade volume together % must be 80 % or Higher. Can you Dutch the two dogs for £ the shortest odds must not below 1.95 Could could this be automated with this file.

Yes, it could all be done but will require the use of a few more stored values and setting up.

I'd suggest breaking it down into parts and implement it that way testing each bit as you go
For example start with using a 'Update Custom Rankings of Selection' rule armed to trigger once 10secs before the start of the race
Assigning the value to Custom Ranking 1
Historical Stored Value - Descending Order
Stored Value in - History List 1 - Now

Then create two place back bet rules armed 9 secs before the start of the race
and apply one rule to the selection by rank using custom ranking list 1 1
and apply the other rule to the selection by rank using custom ranking list 1 2

At this point the file should be triggering a bet on the two runner with the greatest volume increase from 5mins to 10secs before the start

thanks Dallas,
Never had go in store values.

In the original there are two rules

1 store volume at 5mins

2 stored volume

Do I just add a new rules by pressing the green cross.

I’ve just created a new rule this is what I’ve typed in. I don’t know whether it’s correct. I’ve tried to follow the information you sent.

General:

Rule name: Custom ranking 1

Rule type: update custom ranking of selection.

Arm trigger at: 10 secs before start of race.

Parameters.

Assign ranking to: Custom ranking 1

Rank by: Historical stored value descending order.

Stored value to be used when ranking:

Stored value in: History list 1 Now.

Stored Values.

Action: Store a value in a history list.

Store of value in: History list 1 Now

for: The market.

With: another historical stored value.

Another stored value:

Other value in: History list 2 Now.

for: the Market

Adjustment: None.

I got a little confused in Stored Values

I put the market. The other options were current selection and nominated selection. ?

I’ve no idea how to create two place back bets do I create a new rule?

You done very well, everything down to this last part is correct, for the rule you've just created you don't need to add any more stored values, you can leave all tabs after parameters untouched (so just delete this part)

Stored Values.
Action: Store a value in a history list.
Store of value in: History list 1 Now
for: The market.
With: another historical stored value.
Another stored value:
Other value in: History list 2 Now.
for: the Market
Adjustment: None.

As for the last line of you query
I’ve no idea how to create two place back bets do I create a new rule?

All you need to do here is similar to above, starting by clicking the green plus icon
Maybe name this rule back bet 1
This time for the rule type use 'Place back bet'
Armed 9 secs before start
applied to the selection by rank using custom ranking list 1 1

On the Parameters tab for 'Place at' use best price
then set your stake amount

and that's it for the first betting rule

Then click on it (so its highlighted in blue), then click the icon with two green arrows, and that will duplicate that whole rule
on the new rule all you need to do is change the selection its applied to, so that it's applied to the selection by rank using custom ranking list 1 2

Once you apply that to a market it should place the two bets for you

I've got it placing 2 back bets on a race, but not the top 2 volumes sometimes it may pick one with the highest volume it's random. Take the 17:12 at Hove it should have picked T2 42.6% & T1 23.4% instead it backed T3 12.8% & T4 8.3%.
:D glad I'm in practice mode, probably something I've done wrong.

These are the 2 back rules:
General:
Rule name: Rule back bet 1
Rule type: place a back bet
Arm trigger: 9 secs
Until: 1 sec
Allow rule to trigger up to: 1
Wait: 5 secs
Applies to selection: rank 1 in custom ranking 1. (When opened it reads in custom ranking 1 1)

The second Rule:
copied 1st rule and changed
Rule name: Rule back bet 2
Applies to selection: rank 2 in custom ranking 1 (When opened it reads in custom ranking 1 2)
