It’s with deep sadness that I have to advise Jim passed away suddenly on Sunday.

I’m awfully sorry to hear that.
I don’t really know anyone on this forum, not properly. I didn’t even know sionascaig was called Jim, to be honest. But I do know the people who have offered helpful advice and those who could always be relied upon to take the time to reply. Jim was in that category and I enjoyed reading his posts. I always suspected we from a similar part of the world, too. Wish I’d asked him now.
Thanks for letting us know, Megarain. My thoughts are with Jim’s family and friends.

That's sad to hear. RIP Sionascraig, thoughts and prayers to all his family and friends.
in tune with everyone else, sad news and shocked. as a fellow scot, we shared a few observations in the past, but sadly never got to meet.
as ever, really focusses the mind on what's important at the end of the day. my sympathies to family and friends ...
