Hi everyone
New to automation and bet angel. I use data for my selections and one strategy I have excludes first 3 favs in betfair then places back bets on a few horses between certain odds.
Question is how do I set up a automation file to not include the first 3 in the betting please?
Many thanks
Automation not using first 3 favs
You can do it using three 'Current Selection' Conditions
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/cur ... ction.html
ie, NOT Fav, NOT 2nd Fav, NOT 3rd Fav
Or use a 'Relative Odds' Condition
to test the price is greater than 3rd Fav

ie, Your selection would need to be 4th fav or higher to satisfy the condition

It doesn't matter how many times selections changes places, its the position that they are in at the time the rule triggers that matters
Unless you choose to fix the order at a specfic time

But, if you were using 'every selection' then wouldn't the 3rd fav also trigger if it later become 4th fav during the pre-set trigger timeframe? You'd be better off fixing the order of selections just before the trigger time to avoid this.
I'd assumed from the OP phasing of his/her question that their rule would only be armed for a second leaving little no no chance of the order changing
and/or they were targeting specfic named runners
But yes if it whatever they are doing involves needing to apply the rule to 'every' selection or it needs to be armed for several seconds then yes using the Fixed Order rule I mentioned sometime prior to this would be needed to avoid any false bets
