thanks Dallas
I've got it placing 2 back bets on a race, but not the top 2 volumes sometimes it may pick one with the highest volume it's random. Take the 17:12 at Hove it should have picked T2 42.6% & T1 23.4% instead it backed T3 12.8% & T4 8.3%.
:D glad I'm in practice mode, probably something I've done wrong.

These are the 2 back rules:
General:
Rule name: Rule back bet 1
Rule type: place a back bet
Arm trigger: 9 secs
Until: 1 sec
Allow rule to trigger up to: 1
Wait: 5 secs
Applies to selection: rank 1 in custom ranking 1. (When opened it reads in custom ranking 1 1)

The second Rule:
copied 1st rule and changed
Rule name: Rule back bet 2
Applies to selection: rank 2 in custom ranking 1 (When opened it reads in custom ranking 1 2)
If you attach the file as it is now i'll take a look, from what you've written you've set everything up right so probably just something simple but will be easier to spot by me looking at the the actual file

I've just had a quick look of the file and can see the original values being stored by the first two rules have been changed from storing the traded volume to storing the volume %

Just to clarify, this is what I thought you wanted;
To place bets on the two selections with the largest increase in traded volume during those final few minutes
(this is the point were up to now for purposes of breaking the file down to create)
The next step once that's working is to check the two selections make up 80% of the total traded volume across all selections

Yes, select the rules file in Guardian and on the main banner click 'Edit rules file'
Then on the stored value tab (of both rules) change it from 'Volume of selection
to volume % of Selection'

I've just changed both back to (the Volume of a selection) still not working correctly, many times it just picks the last 2 traps e.g. 5&6 its not picking the highest traded volume.

I changed them back also to traded volume last night and ran it on a few markets and it worked fine everytime

I did also add another stored value rule just to put the increase in traded volume into a 2nd history list and enabled logging on that rule so the exact increases of traded amounts could be seen for each selection at the point at which the custom ranking rule triggers, and therefore which two selections the bet rules should trigger on
As you can see its the 3rd runner with the greatest volume increase - and thats what the first bet rule triggered on
and the 2nd runner with the second greatest volume increase - and thats what the second bet rule triggered on

So you've definitely set it up right and its working correctly once those two stored values are put back to there original state on the first two rules

No worries :D

So now you know you have that part up and running correctly, are you still wanting it to only trigger the bets if those top two selections account for 80% of the total traded volume?

Hi Dallas
Is it possible instead of the 80% on the top 2, to place a back bet on the top one with highest volume traded in last 5 mins (Red numbers at top ladder) e.g. Vol @ 5 mins; 0 Increase Since; ( 8795 ) could I chance the number in brackets to suit different races.

Sorry I'm not sure what you mean?
What does the 80% relate to?

Are you just wanting to back whichever selection has had the biggest volume increase?

Sorry Dallas I've not explained myself properly, at the begging I was looking for a way to back the top two with a combined total volume increase of 80% + Now I just want to back the top dog/horse with highest Volume increase, yes the one with the biggest increase but only if it reaches the number I've inserted in my automation e.g were it say's in red
Increase Since 8000 this number I want to change, so if the top dog /horse only reaches 6000 + my bot won't place a bet until say it reaches 8000 or wot ever number I chose, so in different races I can change the number to suit the race.

Sorry I never realised it was a continuation from earlier messages, just looked at it as a totally new message but remember now who you are and what you were doing.
Also apologies for not responding to your last message on 15th, I've been pre occupied with a lot of other stuff this last week and this must have slipped through the cracks

Is it definitely just the one with the greatest increase you want to bet on now rather than checking the top two have a combined book% and betting on them both?
Either way is possible to do from where your file is currently at

Not your fault Dallas, I know what I want in my head but sometimes find it difficult to put on paper. Yes, I just want to pick the one with the highest volume since x time. But is it possible to insert a number say 8000 in my auto so if it doesn’t reach the number, it won’t place a bet, then I can set different numbers for dogs and horses.
